The Philippines is abundant in both biotic and abiotic resources

Biotic natural resources are those that come from living things such as fossil fuels, forests, poultry and fish and other animals as well as the materials derived from these sources.

Varieties of fish like tilapa, milk fish(bangus), lapu-lapu, galunggong and tuna are also abundant.

There are also endemic species in the country.

An ‘Endemic Species’ is one that is only found in that region and nowhere else in the world. As such they are of conservation concern because they are not widespread and may be confined to only one or two protected areas
