e-Tax Software (WEB Version) Advance Preparation Setup

(for Safari Users)

To use the e-Tax software (WEB version), the following preparations are necessary:

• Install the signature module• Install the statement display module• Install root certificates *1• Install the JPKI user's software *2

By performing the e-Tax software (WEB version) advance preparation setup, the signature module and statement display module are installed.

*2 The JPKI user's software is necessary for using electronic certificates recorded on IC cards issued by the Public Certification Service for Individuals.

1. Installation Procedure

When you are using Mac OS, use two package files, "eTaxInstallUser.pkg" and

"eTaxInstall.pkg", for the advance preparation setup. Follow the procedure below

to install.

1-1. Install the advance preparation setup (eTaxInstallUser.pkg)

Perform "eTaxInstallUser.pkg" with an account (user) that is used by all users of the e-Tax software (WEB version).

１ Double-click the disk image "eTaxMac.dmg" you downloaded.

２ A volume "eTaxMac" will appear on the desktop and a Finder window will open.

３ In "eTaxMac", double-click "eTaxInstallUser.pkg".

４ The introduction screen of the installer will appear. Click [Continue].

５ The screen to select an installation destination will appear. Select a

home directory to install. (You can select a home directory only as an installation destination.)

６ Click [Continue].

７ The screen to start the installation will appear. Click [Install].

８ The installation will start.

９ Click [Close] to finish the installation.

Now the installation of the advance preparation setup (eTaxInstallUser.pkg) is complete.

1-2. Install the advance preparation setup (eTaxInstall.pkg)

You need to perform "eTaxInstall.pkg" with an account (user) that has

administrator privileges. When the installation has already been performed

on the computer for using the e-Tax software (WEB version) with another

account (user), you do not need to start this installer.

１ In "eTaxMac", double-click "eTaxInstall.pkg".

２ The screen to check the use environment will appear. Click [Continue].

３ The introduction screen of the installer will appear. Click [Continue].

４ The screen to select an installation destination will appear.

Select a volume to install. (You can select the startup disk only as an installation destination.)

５ Click [Continue].

６ The screen to start the installation will appear. Click [Install].

７ The password entry screen will appear. Enter a user name and password of

a user that has administrator privileges of the computer, and then click [OK].

８ The installation will start.

９ A Finder window will open showing files in "/Applications/eTax".

１０ Click [Close] to finish the installation.

Now the installation of the advance preparation setup is complete.

1-3. About root certificates installation procedure

For root certificates installation procedure, refer to "Root Certificates Installation Procedure" stored in the installed "/Applications/eTax" folder.

1-4. About JPKI user's software installation

The JPKI user's software is provided by the Public Certification Service for

Individuals. You can download the JPKI user's software (Mac version) from the

following portal website. Follow the guidance to install appropriately.

Start the e-Tax software (WEB version) from the following link.

Incidentally, you can use an Internet shortcut in "/Applications/eTax" to go

2. Uninstallation Procedure

2-1. Advance Preparation Setup Uninstallation Procedure

１ Double-click the disk image "eTaxMac.dmg" you downloaded.

２ A volume "eTaxMac" will appear on the desktop and a Finder window will open.

３ In "eTaxMac", double-click "eTaxUninstall.command".

４ "Terminal" will open. First, materials installed by "eTaxInstallUser.pkg"

will be uninstalled. Enter "y", and then press the [Enter] key.

５ Then, materials installed by "eTaxInstall.pkg" will be uninstalled. Enter

"y", and then press the [Enter] key. (Since administrator privileges are required to uninstall, if you have logged in as a user that does not have administrator privileges, enter "n" to quit.)

６ Enter an administrator password, and then press the [Enter] key.

７ The uninstallation will be complete. Click the "×" button of the

window to finish.

Now the uninstallation of the advance preparation setup is complete.

Note

If a password is not set to your administrator account (null password), the

uninstaller is not performed correctly. Be sure to set a password to your

administrator account before uninstalling.
