The family Corina and Urs Welte-Senn have been
touring with the Fähtz-Musik Express ”Disco Ex-
press” in Switzerland since 2003.
The ride was built in 1982 for Heinrich Sonnier, and
travelled last in Germany under the management of
Christian Mentel from Leipzig. Since 2004, it has been
gradually redesigned. This began with the paybox, af-
ter which the chaises were completely renovated. The
previous rounding boards were replaced completely
and the new elements redecorated, so that the ”Disco
Express” is now presented in an almost totally new
look. Atelier Siefert from Germany was engaged to
complete the decoration and painting. All the wheels
are to be replaced, which will result in a smoother ride
sequence. ■

The new Faller catalogue 2007/2008 is now availa-
ble in all specialized shops. Almost 480 pages
show the complete range of model constructions on
scales of HO, TT, N, and Z, in a modern catalogue lay-
out. Pages 336 to 365 are dedicated to the colourful
and fascinating world of fairground models. Novelties
such as the ”Geister-Tempel” (Nr. 140427) and both of
the fairground booths ”Entenangeln” and ”Tütenan-
geln” (Nr. 140446) are very well illustrated. Models ta-
ken out of the programme are the Wild Mouse, Freefall
Tower Kinzler, Breakdance, the caravan set in white,
and the transport wagon set, also in white. All these
models however are still available in the specialized
shops for a short while. The fairground range on an N
scale remains unchanged. ■
