Dress a Girl Around the World

What I did to create my project.

• Found all the materials.

• Began practicing my sewing skills.

• Finally began to sew the actual dresses.

• Sewed as many dresses as I could.

How It Worked

• First, cut the edge of the pillowcase approximately 2 inches from the edge.

• Next, sew a gathering stitch on the raw edge.• Pin the gathered skirt to the bottom of the t-

shirt.• Sew around the top of the seam.

What I Did With The Dresses

• Dress A Girl Around The World Foundation

• Girls all around the world, but mostly in Africa, will receive the dresses

How this “stretched” me

• I had no sewing skills

• Made me put myself in other people’s shoes

• Made me realize how hard some actually have it
