Preparing to Vote in the General Election C
ycleH
ello Broward Voters,
We are approaching the end of a very active election cycle. In M
arch (2016), we voted in the Presidential Preference Prim
ary (PPP). In August, we voted in the Prim
ary Election for federal, state, and local candidates. A
nd in less than six weeks, all Brow
ard voters will have their say in the selection of the next President of the U
nited States of Am
erica.
We are providing you w
ith the sample ballot w
hich will serve as a tool to guide your participation in the G
eneral Election. This county-w
ide election culminates on N
ovember 8, w
ith precinct-level voting. You w
ill find information on the three w
ays to vote in this sample ballot guide. Voters m
ay choose the method w
hich best fits their schedule. If you have not done so already, you m
ay request a vote-by-mail ballot that w
ill have pre-paid return postage. You may choose to vote early at one of the tw
enty-one early voting sites available around the county. A
ll sites will be open from
7:00 am until 7:00 pm
from O
ctober 24th through N
ovember 6
th.
This sam
ple ballot will also include the nam
es of candidates, and issues where your vote is needed. A
ll races are open to every voter. Party affiliation doesn’t m
atter! Just remem
ber to bring a photo ID
with signature if voting at an early voting site, or on Election D
ay.
Thank you for voting.
Brenda C. Snipes, Ed. D
Note: new voterregistration ends 29 days prior to each election
