Door Types

Based on architectural style, building codes, costs, personal taste

• Flush• Stile-and-rail• Swinging• Sliding• Folding• Garage doors

Flush Doors

• Flush- Hollow Core • Flush- Solid Core• Solid-core flush doors (especially foam-

core ones) are commonly used as exterior doors because they provide more insulation and strength.

Stile-and-Rail Doors

• Strong heavy frame around perimeter

Swinging Doors

• Placed on hinges so it swings out from the wall

• Most secure
