Dodge City Amusement Park

From the late 1950’s to the early1960’s Patchogue had an amusementpark, called “Dodge City”, located onthe southwest corner of the SunriseHighway and Waverly Avenue. WildWest shows, train rides and stagecoachrides were available to entertain theyoung and old.

This Jim Mooney 1959 aerial photo shows the “Dodge City”park in the top right corner of the picture, just south of theSunrise Highway. The Pepsi Cola plant is the white building tothe left of the park.The Patchogue Village Municipal Garage andthe incinerator are in the center of the photo.
