European Space Solutions,a major 3-day conference, which will bring together business and the public-sector with users and developers of space-based solutions. Participants will gather insights about current developments and society needs, learn how space technology can make a real difference to their lives/business, and get informed about business support and finance opportunities.
Space-based services and technologies are the future of efficient, effective and sustainable services that society needs to meet a wide range of current and future challenges. The wide selection of user-driven sessions, focussed work-shops, support services and special events during European Space Solutions are designed to stimulate discussion and knowledge sharing and to demonstrate the many ways that innovative space-fuelled applications are bringing, and will bring, growth to our economy and enhancing the quality of life of citizens across Europe and around the globe.
The 2013 edition of the European Space Solutions once again will be accompanied by the European Space Expo, an interactive public exhibition showcasing the many benefits of the EU space programmes. The travelling European Space Expo will be installed at Bavariapark from 5-10 November 2013.

THE ESA TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER PROGRAMME (TTP)
Our mission is to inspire and facilitate the use of space technology, systems and know-how for non-space applications.
We aim to strengthen European industry by identifying new business opportunities for providers of space technology and systems. TTP plays an important role in enhancing the capabilities and competitiveness of Europe, while broadening its business horizons and creating jobs for its citizens.
280 successful transfers, 180 start-up companies supported, 60 new companies every year.
TECHNOLOGY BROKER NETWORK
Our network of brokers assesses market needs in areas where there is a potential for exploitation of space technologies, and initiates a technology transfer process between technology provider and receiver.
Managed by the International Space Innovation Centre (ISIC) in the UK, this pan-European network supports the spin-off and spin-in of technology from ESA, as well as supporting the transfer of ESA’s own intellectual property rights (IPR).
AT - BE - DE - ES - FI - FR - GB - GR - IT - LU - NL - PT - SE
ESA BUSINESS INCUBATION CENTRES (ESA BICs)
We work to inspire entrepreneurs to turn space-connected business ideas into commercial companies.
Our seven Business Incubation Centres across five European countries support selected entrepreneurs with comprehensive commercial and technical assistance to help them start up businesses that apply space technology in non-space industrial, scientific and commercial fields.
BE - DE- GB - IT - NL
OPEN SKY TECHNOLOGY FUND
Supporting new businesses applying space innovations through a dedicated €100 million venture capital fund, the Open Sky Technologies Fund is an early-stage venture capital fund aimed at nurturing the most promising business opportunities arising from space technologies and satellite applications for terrestrial industries.
The OSTF was initiated by ESA, and is managed by Triangle Venture Capital Group.

SpaceinBavaria– TheBavarianMinistryofEconomicAffairsandMedia,EnergyandTechnology
The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology works to ensure the competitiveness of the business location Bavaria, to strengthen the productivity of the Bavarian companies, to support innovation and to contribute to the creation of attractive employment opportunities. The aerospace sector is of special interest to the Free State of Bavaria. It is well established in terms of research and the commercial use of space technologies and seeks to support Copernicus and Galileo by contributing its own particular strengths. With the Galileo Control Center and the European data centre for Copernicus Sentinel satellites located in Oberpfaffenhofen to name just two examples and a series of around 400 local companies, Bavaria is the leading aerospace hub in Germany and one of the top 5 aerospace hotspots in the world. To further strengthen its place as a hub of space entrepreneurship and create added value for satellite navigation and Earth monitoringtechnologies,theFreeStateofBavariaestablishedthefirstGermanincubatorforthisemergingmarketin2001.Dueto its great success, theEuropeanSpaceAgency (ESA)and theGermanAerospaceCenter (DLR) cameonboard in2009, thusincorporating the incubator into the ESA Business Incubation (BIC) programme.
