Dialux- Lighting Calculation Software
INTRODUCTION
A light planning program for calculation and visualization of indoor and outdoor lighting systems. By using this program, we are able to plan the lighting we use in a room, scene or building. The program is used to calculate and visualize the daylight, as well as letting us plan lighting scenes, plan the color and intensity of the lights we use, position on the project the emergency lighting, with the right legal number of luminaries’, and many more.
FEATURES
It enables Architects, Planners, and Engineers to make a lighting design based on real data product.
Lighting calculation, energy optimization and presentation. DIALux offers an import and export to DXF, DWG etc. Direct interface to Autodesk MEP, Revit, DDS, etc. Drag & Drop of required drawings, texts, diagrams or further information into CAD
application or any other programs like Word, Power Point. DIALux works with Plug-in or simple IES files.

electronic catalogues.

CALCULATION/ANALYSIS
For analysis of functioning of software, one bedroom is taken to start with as shown in fig.
Desired furniture’s are put in the room.
Then, some luminaires are used for analysis of how the software functions?
Different lights have different effect in the room. Their position, power, types vary in the room visuals and calculation as well.

Different lamps have different energy consumption and that can be calculated through this software.
DAYLIGHT IMPACT IN ROOM
The calculation of the daylight can also be done through this software. The location of room, timings can also be adjusted to find out the effect of daylight at different day times.

This is one of the good energy simulation software for young Designers, Architects, and Lighting consultants to visualize the effect of lamp in interior, outdoor, street areas. This software is helpful in utilizing the energy consumption and saves energy wastage. It is very user friendly in comparison to 3Ds Max as Dialux has more accuracy as tool for lighting design.
