ALUMINIUM FRAME AND SWINGARMAn Aprilia hallmark, the Tuono V4’s aluminium frame is a work of art on display that hides the secrets of a benchmark chassis. FAMILY FEELING WITH RSV4The Tuono V4 strongly resembles the RSV4, but the shape is entirely different: aggressive top fairing, fairing stripped away and a more comfortable - yet likewise race-like - tail section. The aerodynamic new top fairing tipped with three headlights and a LED daylight running light gives the bike the unequivocally mean, daunting stare that you’d expect from a motorcycle with incredible horsepower.
PRECISION AND STABILITYThe fixed top fairing was a specific technical decision to provide the appropriate aerodynamic load at the front end to give the rider a good feel for the bike and keep it stable at high speeds. It also offers a fair aerodynamic protection for the rider.

NEW MULTIMAP CORNERING ABS Tuono V4 1100 MY17 features a completely revamped ABS system, based on the NEW BOSCH 9.1 MP control unit, characterised by small size and extreme light weight.
It’s a modern two-channel antilock system, that provides the following advantages:- improved stability- improved deceleration without locking the wheels- reduced braking distance in critical situationsThe greatest innovation, compared to the previous MY16 bike, is the introduction of the CORNERING functionality.The system is now able to recognise when the rider is braking hard while leaning into a bend, preventing the wheels from locking also in this critical situation. NEW MULTIMAP CORNERING ABS The system has been skilfully developed and calibrated based on indications from Apriliaengineers in order to provide not only maximum safety on the road, but also the best performance on the track.
The rider can still select between 3 ABS maps to better suit the system responsiveness to the current riding conditions (1 = track, 2 = road, 3 = wet), always with the goal of maximising braking effectiveness. Now ABS MAP2 has become also suitable for amateur track riding.
The ABS system can also be disabled by the rider, still keeping all the rest of the electronic controls of the bike active. NEW for MY17 is also the ABS deactivation strategy. If disabled by the rider, the system will automatically be reactivated after every key OFF/ON. A better attention to safety.Permanent deactivation of the ABS system will still be possible for RACE USE ONLY (need to install the RACE engine ECU/MAP)

HELPS THE RIDER CONTROL WHEELIES BY LOWERING THEFRONT WHEEL GENTLY TO THE GROUND
Thanks to the new positioning on the bike of the BOSCH inertial platform, the system is now able to accurately detect pitch angle and rate.This allowed Aprilia’s electronic engineers to completely redefine the wheelie control strategy. Compared to the old system, where the target of the strategy was always to gently lower the front wheel to the ground, the new MY17 AWC is also able to keep the bike to hold a certain pitch angle, according to the riding condition. NEW CRUISE CONTROL FUNCTIONALITYAprilia’s MY17 V4 new electronic package features a full electronic cruise control for maximum comfort on long highway rides. A system able to maintain the speed selected by the driver.
The system can be activated or deactivated by the rider with a long press on the central selector. The system can be used at certain speeds in third to sixth gears. Once at the desired speed, the system can be engaged or disengaged (transition to state SET) by means of a short central pressure of the selector. The selected cruising speed can be increased or decreased with a short press the selector up or down (increase / decrease speed 1.2 mph (2kmh) or through long press up or down for a progressive change in speed.
The rider can twist grip to accelerate temporarily. Upon release of the throttle grip the motorcycle will return to the selected cruising speed.
It is possible to wake the system through an long press up of selector if the rider wants to resume the last set speed, otherwise a short press can set a new cruising speed.

ACTIVE ELECTRONIC SETUP: technology as close as you can get to the “corner-by-corner” electronic management used in world racing championships. Using the GPS antenna of the smartphone, the system detects the position of the bike at any given time on the track and automatically changes the electronic adjustments (traction control ATC, anti-wheelie AWC), as given by the rider’s set up, for each specific segment of the track. So the rider can focus on his riding to get the best performance out of it.

ADAPTIVE RACE ASSISTANT:This feature provides real time suggestions to safely take the best advantage of RSV4. The application compares rider performance to a reference lap (rider’s best, rider friend’s best, pro pilot’s best, etc..) on the track in real time and helps by immediately visualizing the need to brake or the possibility of opening up the throttle, to gradually improve performance.
ADVANCED TELEMETRY DASHBOARD:A “virtual” dashboard that allows the rider to visualize, through the smartphone display, in addition to all the information normally on the standard dashboard, various other parameters acquired from the bike telemetry such as: instant power sent to the driveshaft; instant torque sent to the driveshaft; percentage of available power; rear wheel slippage; longitudinal and lateral acceleration (G-G diagram); lean angle.
