Source Documents and Methodology: This is a list of Air Force installations, activities and leased facilities and Reserve Components when the civilian manpower authorizations exceed 300 personnel.
Source documents used to compile this list include:
DOD List of Military Installations (Major, Minor, and Support) (1990) Report of the Department of Defense on Base Realignment and Closure (April 1998) Military Department BRAC 95 reports to the Secretary of Defense (March 1995) DODBase StructureReports DOD Installation Fact Sheets (2001)
Methodology used to develop the list:
1) Removed all installations, organizations and activities closed or disestablished by prior BRAC rounds. Also, removed installations, organizations and activities that were listed in the April 1998 Report that have reorganized, disestablished or consolidated with other activities.
2) Air Force Go-Co's were not reviewed in prior BRAC rounds and are not listed. 3) Installations, activities and leased facilities with Iess than 300 civilian positions authorized are not included.
Added: SAFAEBB LEGEND RED = Recommended Changes and Notes identifying non-AF activities with DoD dirct-hire civilians that may result in a total DoD civilian population greater than 300 GREEN = Civilian manpower numbers for individual activities at locations where there are fewer than 300 Don direct hire AF
civilians.
