KEY COMPONENTS OF DIALYSATE CIRCUIT Heating Deaeration Proportioning Monitoring Ultrafiltration Disinfection

16

HOW DOES IT WORK Once pure product has been generated,

bicarbonate and acid solutions are mixed with water to form dialysate solution.

Mixing or proportioning is done in the dialysis unit

Several components of proportioning ensure safe dialysate is monitored by a series of alarms, pumps and monitors

Fluid ultrafiltration occurs by volumetric or flow sensor controllers.

Disinfection prevents bacterial over growth

OTHER METHODS OF PRODUCING MICROBUBBLES First class uses compression of air stream to

dissolve air into liquid, which is subsequently released through a specially designed nozzle system, to nucleate small bubbles based on cavitation principle

Second class uses power ultrasound to induce cavitation locally at points of extreme rarefaction in the standing ultrasonic waves

Cavitation is formation of bubbles in liquid.
