Declutter your office

• Start with a plan

• Start with the filing cabinet, not the desk

• Divide and conquer

• Print fewer documents

• File regularly

• Get cables under control

• Purchase space-making products

• Get rid of things you aren’t using

Consider an office appearance policy for dos and don’ts

• Any picture or item hung directly on the walls of the building must be approved .

• Posters, pictures, notes, etc., aren’t permitted on the outside of workstation panels.

• Posters, pictures, notes, etc., are permitted on the inside of workstation panels as long as they are appropriate .

• Work-related materials aren’t permitted on the tops of workstation cabinets.

• To conserve energy, all blinds should remain lowered at all times, and lights should be turned off when a room is not in use.

• Employees should leave public areas clean and orderly

• Include disciplinary procedures
