TONIGHT: Candlelight Service @ 6:30 pm at First CRC. TONIGHT: Handel’s Messiah, Part 1 @ 2 pm at Bethany Covenant Church. Suggested Donation: $10-15—proceeds benefit Skagit Habitat for Humanity. Saturday, December 24: Christmas Eve Service @ FCF. Mount Vernon Christian Fellowship (Filipino church) has invited our congregation to their Christmas Eve Service at 5:00 pm. Craft Night: Ladies, want some time to work on that craft you started a while ago and never finished, or thought about but never started? Do you think you are not creative enough to have a craft project? Join us for a weekend of uninterrupted craft time on Friday, January 27– Saturday, January 28. We will be gathering at church to enjoy fellowship and time to work on whatever project you want to work on. We will also try to have a small project if you don't have a project or think you are not creative but still want to join us. Of note- there will be a Cricut there for scrapbookers . Youth Group Christmas party today: from 4-6 pm (note time change) in the Youth room. Please bring a wrapped white elephant gift to exchange. Prepare for fun and bring on your creative side in decorating an ugly Christmas sweater cookie! Blue Christmas Service tonight @ 6:30 pm at FCF. This service is for anyone who is experiencing grief of some kind….a loss of a loved one, a dream, a job, or something else in your life that has happened. This service is focused on hope for the future. Invite someone you know who can benefit from this service. Missions Pledges: Extra Missions Pledges Pamphlets are located on the entryway table. See who we as a church support and prayerfully consider who you will pledge to support for this year. Filled out pledge forms can be placed in the offering or given to Tami Hodge. December 18, 2016 A Warm Welcome to all who are worshipping with us today. If you are a visitor or new to our church, please fill out a visitor’s card located on the table in the entryway. A nursery is provided for infants and toddlers through age 3, located in the hallway of the entryway. Children’s Bulletins are available on the table by the door in the entry way for the younger children. Prayer Requests Inserts are in the bulletin for prayer requests. If you have a request, please fill the insert out and place it in the offering basket when it comes around or the prayer box in the back of the sanctuary. Requests are prayed for on Tuesday and also printed in the bulletin unless they are marked confidential. Children and Worship is a worship time for children ages 3 through kindergarten that occurs during the worship service. Watch for the yellow banner during the service!

Concerns and praises within our family at Faith Special Prayer Requests: - Continued prayer for those struggling with cancer: Shirley Nelson, Mike VanBerkum's brother John, Sienne Ackermann and Trista Burn. - prayer for encouragement for John Fortier, who is officially retired on disability. Pray for this time of transition. - Carrie Matson—prayer as she begins her 4th chemo treatment--for the tumor to stop growing and for her strength.
-Tami Hodge—relief from sciatic nerve pain. - Petra Valdez’ sister--prayer that Maria can find a job quickly after being laid off and to be able to meet her financial obligations. Prayer also for Petra’s grandfather Benito as he has made peace with dying. Prayer for the family as they come to terms with this. - prayer for safety for those travelling during this season. - prayer for law enforcement and those involved in the shooting Thursday night. Prayer for the police officer shot and for peace and God’s presence for his family. Praise for: - Iris Muia—praise for a successful cataract surgery on Tuesday. Prayer for continued healing and improved vision. - Trista Burn--Praise that an external examination of the primary tumor shows significant reduction in size and ALL of her drugs will be publicly funded in January!!!! Prayer for protection over her immunity and energy levels as they fly to America from December 21st-31st.
