A very successful Foundation
Course was conducted on a
weekend in November at
the radio 4GR boardroom.
Thanks must go to Andrew
Chapman VK4QF who gave
up his weekend to open the
board room and allowed us
to use the overhead projec-
tor for the weekend.
John VK4TJ conducted the
training, with Bill VK4ZD
and Diane VK4DI along to
see how the course is con-
ducted.
We had a visit from David
Kavanagh VK4DAK (AKA
repeater Dave) as well.
Phil VK4HPW from the Bor-
der ranges club made the
trip on Sunday to facilitate
the exams.
All 3 candidates were suc-
cessful, Tess Luckman -
VK4FDDC, Sarah Grady -
VK4FURY (XYL of Geoff
VK4NIX) and George Cor-
ney - VK4FGRC were a very
relieved bunch on Sunday
afternoon.
All 3 have since attended the
club Social Technical night
and were welcomed by eve-
ryone.
