description

Magnetic Level Gauges with Local Indication and Point Level Switching or Continuous Output. Large brightly coloured indicating wafers are easy to read, even at a distance. The ideal solution where the risk of fluid leaking to the environment must be avoided. Eliminates maintenance associated with conventional glass gauges. Available with optional Magnetostrictive Linear Displacement Transducer for 4-20mA output.

Magnetic Level Gauges

Davis/Klinger MLG Program

Theory of Operation• The liquid being measured is enclosed within a sealed

chamber connected by branch tubes to the vessel in which the liquid is contained.

• A stainless steel, titanium or plastic float fitted with a permanent omni-directional magnet moves freely inside the chamber and actuates the magnetic wafers within the indicator.

• As the float rises or falls with the liquid level each wafer rotates 180 degrees and so presents a contrasting color.

• Those wafers above the float magnet show white, while those below show read, presenting a clearly defined and accurate indication of the liquid level in the chamber.

• The proven Davis/Klinger MLG is particularly suitable where dangerous and toxic liquids or gases are involved.

Features & Specs.• Chamber

-Hydrostatically tested to 1.5x the design pressure.

-Fabricated from seamless pipe; full penetration welds

-Standard material is 304ss, 316ss,321ss, Titanium and corrosion resistant plastic

-Maximum single length 6 m/20ft between flanged joints

Features & Specs.• Sealed Float -Our system employs a sealed float made from

stainless steel with stainless steel reinforcing rings.

-The floats laser weld is offset inside to reduce friction and to prevent it from rubbing the inner chamber wall.

-Wire bumpers keep the float centered in the chamber and helps clean the interior of the chamber to ensure accurate readings.

-Omni-directional magnetic float system ensures consistent magnetic contact with display wafers

Features & Specs.

• Displays/Indicators

-The Davis/Klinger wafer magnitization technique is protected by US, Canadaian and UK patents

-This unique system consisting of 1” wide molded ferrite wafers, remains magnetically locked in the vertical position until disturbed by the greater magnetic force of the float magnet.

-Our design has an alarm indicator located at the bottom of the display which warns that the float has failed, not that the vessel is empty

Approvals

- CSA, Lloyds, TUV, SA, CEGB, BASEEFA,Factory Mutual, CENELEC

- All fabrication and testing are in accordance with ASME section VIII, Div I & CSA standard B51

- Certified ISO 9001-2000

Can also be designed to your specifications

MLG-Proven Reliability-THE WELL PROVEN KLINGER MAGNETIC LEVEL GAUGE

is particularly suitable for use where dangerous and toxic liquids or gases are involved, also where leaks to atmosphere are not permitted, and where the danger of failure of standard gauge materials through stress or corrosion cannot be tolerated.

-The Magnetic gauge is designed so that the liquid being measured is enclosed within a sealed stainless steel chamber.

-A stainless steel or titanium float fitted with a permanent magnet moves freely inside the chamber and actuates the magnetic wafers within the indicator, mounted on the outside of the chamber. As the float rises or falls with the liquid level, each wafer rotates 180° and so presents a contrasting colour.

-Accurate, Affordable, Adaptable and Reliable
