Purpose of the DCSIT DOES:• Collect some project

performance data• Assist with mandated

reporting for the EWDP• Helps us tell the EWDP story

to stakeholders

IT DOES NOT [YET]• Collect financial

expenditures• Serve as a management

tool for your grants

Future Modifications• Addition of expenditure reporting• Graphic reports for trends• Inclusion of EWD initiative specific data• Expansion to include the life of the RFA:

– Announcement/Application– Review/Award– Project performance– Close-out

Signing in to the DCS• Use your email address (NOT grant number)

– Staff will have their own login

• Auto password recovery– No need to call EWD to obtain a password

• User management– Project managers can update their staff accounts

General Flow of Data

Enter an Activity• Name the activity• Brief description• Start and end date of the activity• Which of the 88531a-j or other allowable

activities best fits the activity described?• What performance outcome (as identified in

the RFA) does the activity fulfill?

Enter Outcomes• Name of the outcome• Date• Students/Businesses served by this outcome• Forms:

– Business– Training– Technical Assistant– Marketing

Closing Out• Steps to close

– From My Projects, under Active Projects, click “Awarded” at the right hand side.

• Adding a business or organization– Search a partial name to ensure it doesn’t already

exist.• Should continue to collect your own data

– You are free to collect any other additional data elements that you think are important to your program.
