Cyberwellness Worksheets 21st – 25th February 2011

Form teachers will use 15 minutes of their FTGP time to do the 5-minutes worksheet . Students will do these worksheet after attending the Assembly Talk.

These worksheets had been printed.

The handouts will be collected from all FTs by ICT Reps on Friday.Students’ Feedback gathered from the handouts will be collected and printed. These feedbacks will be pasted on the reflection board at the Hall’s Notice Board.

Cyberwellness Roving Bus 22nd – 23rd February 2011

MDA is embarking on a nation-wide public outreach programme which includes a “Cyber Wellness Journey" bus, an online competition and a slew of discussion sessions for students.

The bus will be stationed at Xishan for 2 days from 9am – 5pm

The bus will housed computer kiosks & 6 learning stations. Only P4-P6 will be scheduled to go into the bus.

Each student will be given an account & password. (Mdm Saedah has given the CW Bus coordinator all student accounts)

Cyberwellness (CW) Roving Bus Plan

1. All P4-P6 MT teachers will swap their One MT period to a CME period for the week.2. Students will board the bus during their CME lessons.3. Students will be going through 6 learning centres in the bus.4. Students will be split into 6 groups.5. Students will be involved in interactive games and quizes.6. Each student will be given a CW card.7. After completing each centres, students will be given a stamp on their CW cards.8. If students have no time to complete the card, they can board the bus during recess time or after school (whislt waiting for supp/remed)9. There will be 2 MDA personnels in the bus to assist the teachers.10. All MT teachers are advised to maintain discipline of the students in the bus.

How far can cyber bullying go?…

• Primary 3 pupil of an all-girls school in the East had been a victim of a cyber bully.

• The quiet, bespectacled girl was repeatedly called 'ugly' and 'irritating' by her peers. Not only was she insulted in school, but these comments also made their way to online blogs.

• After enduring the insults for more than six months, she wished that she could die.

• Tell an adult / talk to a friend you trust• Don’t respond to a rude/ mean email or

text message • Show the email or message to your

teachers or parents
