WHAT?

C.E.A. San Ildefonso-La Granja is an adult education school.

It focuses on lifelong learning for adults. Its purpose is to provide adults the opportunity to gain skills that will enable them to enhance their social, work, and family life. They aim to provide flexible and personalized education.

There are also some volunteers helping with the immigrants classes.

Our institution is located in Real Sitio de San Ildefonso (Segovia. Spain), a small town in the province of Segovia, Autonomous Community of Castilla y León (Spain). It is located 11 km from Segovia capital, at the foot of the mountains of the Central System, which separates the province of Segovia and Madrid (76km from)

Outstanding among the monuments the Royal Palace and its gardens with fountains, and the Royal Glass Factory.

There are also many hiking trails through the Sierra de Guadarrama.

It was the summer residence of the kings.

Not many, but really good teachers. All the staff participates in CULKAS.

WHO ELSE?

We have already started a workshop with students. It deals with Art, Culture and Traditions. School years 2012/2014.

We have class once a week, on friday, from 09:30 to 11:30.

Meeting on Friday...

... Meeting online.

WHAT FOR?

We want it to be not just a class, but an opportunity to participate doing hands-on activities, sharing experiencies and learning from other European partners, practicing English, using ICT...

Our institution does not only attend El Real Sitio, it also provides courses in some small villages, full of history, art, culture and traditions. They are an opportunity to learn about them and to share them with others.

Our workshop is planning some field trips to those villages, and to our province and region, too.
