Cube Grade Control System GCX II – Open Pit

Overview

The Cube Grade Control system (GCX II) is an integrated, Surpac based grade estimation and reporting system for Open Pit Mines. • Easy to use, repeatable framework • Logical step-by-step process flow • External controls for self-customisation • Choice of estimation methods • Auditable • Statistical and visualisation tools • Full documentation

Easy to Use

• Menu system within familiar Surpac environment • Logical step-by-step process flow • Local site terminology incorporated as appropriate

External Controls Attributes associated with material types and cut-offs are handled externally via customisable parameter sheets in csv format. • Flexibility to modify material categories if related attributes such as grade cut-offs are

changed • Up to 8 elements and 40 material types

Definition of Campaign Modelling Area

Campaign modelling areas can be defined using a polygon (typical of a e.g. blast hole environment) or a 3D solid (grade control RC).

Domain Wireframing for Campaign Area A variety of visualisation tools are available to aid in domain delineation.

Model Flagging and Composite Extraction Automated stamping of zone codes, density and composite extraction speeds the modelling process as well as maintaining an audit trail for future reference.

Composite Validation Extreme grades at either end of the sample population can be examined numerically as well as spatially, Distribution allows multiple percentile or grade threshold bins to be examined.

• Uses the Cube Estimation Management System – ECX – Easy to use, repeatable and auditable – Multi-element and multi-domain environments – Allows dynamic estimation into folded domains – External parameters saved and loaded from Excel – Wide range of useful outputs e.g. Kriging Neighbourhood Analysis,

Grade Estimation

Update Master Block model

The master grade control model can be easily updated via a single step. The master block model acts as a single repository for all of the applicable grade control information for a pit/deposit.

Open Cut: Slice and Display of Block model for Dig Block Delineation

A variety of layers can be loaded either automatically or manually to aid in the formation of dig block outlines.

Create / Evaluate / Adjust of Dig Block Outlines Dig blocks once outlined can be manipulated many times allowing the user to test various design permutations, as well allowing overriding of the material type via a subjective adjustment if required.

Stamping and Reporting of Dig Blocks Reports are generated in a number of formats with optional content for uploading to material tracking systems.

Plotting of Dig plans / Markup Plans

AutoPlot is used as the primary plotting tool, with all data including styles files and entities being built in the background, this allows the user to point and shoot to create a dig plan.

Handy tools A number of auxiliary and statistical tools are available under the Extras menu.

GCX for Underground

The Cube Grade Control system (GCX II) is also available for UG mines, with both 2D and 3D estimation routines available
