Ofcourse, forthewesternmentalitytheconceptsofreincarnationandKarmatiedtopreviousliveshaveassumedameaningwhichsoundsexoticallyfascinating,that isfarawayfromwhattheseconceptsactuallymean.Tounderstandthesemeaningsisverydifficultforourmentality,and the risk is high of not grasping the realmeaning. A lot of effort has beenmade in thisdirectioninrecentyears.

ThegreatopportunityofaKarmicinterpretationofthenatalchartinmyopinionrelatestotheevolutiveworkthatitsuggests.Thereisnothingregardingtheideathatwegopassivelytoourdestiny,orevenoffightingbravelyagainstitItwouldbecrazy to think thatweareomnipotent,and in facthumility isoneof thepositivecharacteristics this work requires: the humility of recognising that the view of a connectionbetweenpast,presentandfutureissomethingthatwecanonlylearnsymbolically,andnotintherealandmaterialfacts.Whileitisintherealandmaterialfactsthattheresultsofeverythingthatwehaveperceivedbecomesvisible: fillingour lifewithmeaningdoesnotmean itwillgomoreslowly,butourenergieswillbeconcentratedmoreonourdevelopmentandinnerserenity.

Whetherwewillremaintrappedintheschemesfromthepastisnotwritteninthenatalchart,whatiswritten,however,arethereasonsforthem,wecanunderstandwhichunsatisfiedneedsandwhichwishesprofoundlymoveuswhatenergies thathave ledus tochoosing thisexactincarnation. Oneoftheopportunitieswehave,afterhavingbeguntounderstandourmap,isthatofworkingto transform the symbols.
