Each slide involves the following six steps.
What are Slide Elements ?
An element is any object on a slide. Examples are:

Go to … Insert Menu / Picture

Inserting the Text
Insert your information by typing directly on the slide.
Insert new Text Boxes with the Insert Menu
Go to…Insert / Text Box
Adding Hyperlinks
Type a URL and <Enter> to insert a hyperlink -- http://www.tdsb.on.ca
Highlight text - Insert / Hyperlink / Type in the web address
Linking to Other Slides
Go to Insert / Hyperlink /Place in this document to add a link to another slide in the presentation

Preview the Active Slide
To preview the slide you are working on: Slide / Custom Animation / Preview Use the slide preview tool in the outlining toolbar
Save Your Presentation
Go to …File + Save As tosave your presentation as“filename.ppt”
Use Ctrl + S to save your changes after every slide.
Review Tips
Preview your active slide after every change. Save your slide show after every slide change.
