Follow these steps to THIRA Data Input and Reporting Tool (DIRT) to

accomplish each step in the process identified in the FEMA CPG-201.

Access the THIRA SharePoint Site

Step #1: From the EDMS Home Page, click on the THIRA icon

Open the THIRA Tool

Step #2: Click on the THIRA icon to open the DIRT application in a new window

Step #3: Select your Facility from the dropdown menu

Step #4: Click View Assessments

Edit an Existing Assessment

Step #5: Click Edit Assessment

Step #6: If necessary, edit the Title and or modify the

overall notes/comments to better describe the assessment and click Save

Add a New Assessment

Step #7: Click on the Add New Assessment link necessary

Step 8: Enter the Title and any notes/comments that describes the assessment and click Save

Add a Scenario

Step #9: Click Edit Scenarios link to open the complete list of scenarios associated with this assessment

Step #10: Click the Add New Scenario link

If necessary, click on Edit Scenario link to modify any existing scenarios.

Step #11: Click on the arrow to select the Category

Step #13: Enter the Scenario Description in the text field

Step #14: When finished, click Save Scenario

Step #15: When you’ve added all the scenarios you want to use in the assessment, click on the Add/Edit Capabilities link

Add Resource

Step #16: Click on the Add Resource link

Step #22: Return to the THIRA home page and click on the Create/Edit DOE Resource icon
