Consistent Clarity is not accidental or free. It is paid
for in disciple and effort. What follows is a cycle to help us craft clarity. It is possible, let's go and get it.
The SANE Cycle
Set
Align
Navigate
Evaluate
Set
To craft clarity we need to have a goal to fix and focus on. A goal provides a stable point of reference, a measuring stick for decisions and progress, and a destination to work towards.
AlignClarity results from the
alignment of our activities, actions, aspirations, and energy to the set goal. This helps us stop doing what we should not and frees time and effort for
what we should.
Navigate
With alignment, we now need to navigate. To navigate is to
choose and do those activities and actions that fit with the first two phases of the cycle. This phase determines if we
reach our chosen goal.
EvaluateIf we are to keep and improve our clarity and progress, we must evaluate the other three
steps. This may not be pleasant, but it is crucial. Then we must
cycle through the phases adjusting based on what we have
learned in our evaluation.
