ON-SITE SEWAGE MANAGEMENT POLICY

Council’s On-Site Sewage Management Policy has recently been reviewed and is now on public exhibition for the community to provide feedback.The Policy relates to all unsewered allotments within the Camden Local Government Area and sets out the framework for the On-Site Sewage Management approvals process.The new draft Policy can be viewed on Council’s website and is on exhibition until 5pm Wednesday 27 May. COMPANION ANIMAL POLICY

Council’s new draft Companion Animal Policy is on public exhibition for the community to provide feedback.On 22 November 2016, Council resolved to commence operating as a ‘no kill’ Animal Care Facility whereby all attempts are made to re-home or rescue animals considered suitable for rehoming. Council also resolved to prepare a policy to include guidelines on the adoption of impounded animals.The draft Policy includes these guidelines, as well as encouraging and reinforcing the responsible management of pets for the benefitofthecommunitythroughCouncil’sPetAwarenessandSafety Program. The Policy is also consistent with Council’s responsibilities under the Companion Animals Act 1998.The new draft Policy can be viewed on Council’s website and is on exhibition until 5pm Wednesday 27 May.
