What is a convict?
• Someone who has broken the LAW!!!
• Very bad ones are usually hung or shot!
• They were taken from their countries to places they have never been before!
• Their pretty much the same as prisoners!
What did convicts look like?
•Most were poor and they usually wore damaged clothes (POSSIBLY RAGS)
•Convicts were mainly British.
What did the convicts do in Australia?
•Shelter for themselves and built public buildings and roads.
•They grew food and also cut wood.
•They worked for people like slaves.
•They also made canoes to escape Australia!!!!!
