To talk about weather, you will often use the verb hacer.

¿Qué tiempo hace?What’s it like out?

Hace…It’s…

Hace (mucho) calor.It’s (very) hot.

Hace (mucho) sol.It’s (very) sunny.

Hace (mucho) frío.It’s (very) cold.

Hace (mucho) viento.It’s (very) windy.

Hace (muy) buen tiempo.It’s (very) nice outside.

Hace (muy) mal tiempo.It’s (very) bad outside.

Hace (mucho) fresco.It’s (very) cool.

When you talk about

wind or sun, you can use

hay.

Hay (mucho) sol. It’s sunny.

Hay (mucho) viento. It’s windy.

Use the verbs llover (to rain) and nevar (to snow) to say it is raining or

snowing. Examples: Llueve mucho en el bosque tropical.

Nieva mucho en Minnesota.

Invierno- Winter

Verano- Summer

Otoño- Fall

To say that it’s cloudy, use the expression está nublado.

No vamos a la playa porque está nublado.
