Consumer Action Mining is the segmentation of high-dimensional relational data, without prior knowledge about possible categories or groups in the data, and without any prior dimensional reduction of the data. For this purpose CAM constructs a complex network from the relational data and then uses the algorithms for "community detection" to detect structure in the relational data. These clusters then are interpreted as categories or groups in the relational dataset and thus result in a natural segmentation and dimensional reduction of the dataset. We apply CAM to segment or categorize customers or products in huge datasets of commercial databases. This includes categorizing WWW customers or products, , as well as web contents. Furthermore, our algorithm can be configured as an engine for a recommender system, with further applications in online stores as well as in automatized online marketing and in online ad placement, especially RTB. With CAM science helps to get better targeting results!
