Youth techno-computer camp (ytcc)-2011
Three-day long program from 21st May to 23rd May, 2011
supported by Relief International, Bangladesh.
25 students participated through a competitive
selection process.
Provided basic computer education to the secondary and
the higher secondary students.
Included training on Computer Hardware, OS, MS Office
and the Internet.
Built a bridge between the students and the vast arena
of information technology.
Intention was to promote IT education as a complement
to mainstream education.
Meet the Community & Skill
Development Workshop - 2011
A day long event held on 19th
August, 2011.
Involved an open discussion with
the guardians and teachers on the
prospect of youth involvement in
community development activities.
Included a workshop on public
speaking and presentation skills for
the high school students.

SEASON ONE
Free winter clothing distribution event for the
underprivileged people of Northern Bangladesh.
Held at the remote village of Noyadiari under Gomostapur
Thana in Chapainababganj on 23rd December, 2011.
Served approximately 700 ill-fated, winter affected
inhabitants of Noyadiari Union, mostly kids, women and
elderly people.
Collaborated with Noyadiari Unit of Center for Mass
Education in Science (CMES) and supported by Relief
International, Bangladesh.
Voluntary participation at
Digital Innovation Fair 2012
15 CYC members voluntarily participated in a three-day long
program titled Digital Innovation Fair –2012, held in Gazipur.
Provided voluntary and technological support at the fair.
Intended to contribute towards promoting IT literacy among
all possible levels of the society, especially among the young
students and the educators.
Created volunteer service opportunity for the students.

Magazine Competition
First ever Inter-School Wall Magazine Competition held in Gazipur, on 5th
July, 2012.
Approximately 250 students, divided among 50 teams, participated from
different high schools of Gazipur.
Theme taken up was ‘Social & Environmental Issues’.
Provided a platform for the school students to explore their creative
potential, to brainstorm and do research about the same and come up with
innovative solutions.
Intended to spread awareness and promote co-curricular activities.
Supported by Relief International, Bangladesh and Dekko Computers,
Gazipur.

SEASON TWO
Second consecutive year of CYC’s
winter clothing distribution
program held on January 14th,
2013, at Baluchakuli, Gazipur.
Served about 120 orphans and
underprivileged students of
Faizuddin Kosimuddin Kaaumi
Madrasa and Orphanage with
warm clothes.
RECOGNITION
CYC received the ‘Best Volunteer
Organization Award’ from the
Public Administration of Gazipur
on behalf of People’s Republic of
Bangladesh at the Digital
Innovation Fair 2012 on 14th
June, 2012.

SEASON THREE
Third consecutive year of CYC’s winter clothing
distribution program held on January 14th, 2014, at
Kangsha, Singair in Manikganj.
CYC served approximately 340 people with warm clothes

SEASON FOUR
Fourth consecutive year of CYC’s winter
clothing distribution program held on January
9th, 2015, at at the campus of Potaabari High
School, Gazipur.
CYC’s initiative served over one hundred
underprivileged people from nineteen villages
under Prohlladpur Union in Gazipur District
with blankets.
As youth partner 50 CYC volunteers participated in a three-day long
program titled Digital Innovation Fair 2015 organized by the Civil
Administration of Gazipur and supported by the the Access to
Information (a2i) Project, USAID and UNDP in order to
commemorate 36th National Science and Technology Week.
Volunteers worked relentlessly over the period of three days in
every department of the fair management.
Created volunteer service opportunity for the students.

CYC BOOK CLUB INITIATIVE - SEASON ONE
With the vision of building a knowledge-based civilized
society, CYC Book Club Initiative aims to make books from
different genres accessible to high school students who
can't afford buying books. The goal is to promote the
practice of reading outside textbooks, knowledge sharing
and critical thinking in order to complement institutional
education. CYC Team handed over approx. 400 books to
two schools in Gazipur named Marta High School and
Muktijoddha High School on 14th November, 2015.

SEASON FIVE
Connecting Youth for Change (CYC) organized the blanket distribution
program titled 'Winter Smiley, Helping Humanity - Season Five' at
Kandaniya in Mymensingh on 8th January, 2016. A CYC team of 20
people handed over 160 blankets as gifts to children in two orphanages
and to the local underprivileged community of Kandaniya. This
initiative, like the last four seasons, was aimed at providing warmth and
shielding people from the sufferings caused by the cold weather, hence
making their lives a bit comfortable. The success of this initiative has
been fueled by our committed volunteers, who are passionate about
helping people in distress. CYC is very grateful to our contributors on all
levels, especially to our Senior Advisor Farida ma'am for being the most
generous host and liaising with the local community in Mymensingh.
