My brief story..

Self-confidence is an attitude which allows individuals to have positive yet realistic views of themselves and their situations.

A confident person is someone who focuses on the positives, on the cause as oppose to the effect.

Confidence is having courage, a self-belief that enables you to act positively in fearful situations, whereby your fear subsides, so that your behaviour and decisions are not affected.

What is confidence?

Cause and Effect

Effect Person –‘I have a weight problem and slow metabolism, there’s nothing I can do about it.’

‘There are no jobs out there for people of my age.’

Cause Person –‘I might have a slow metabolism but I will work to change it through exercise.’

‘Some employers may not want people my age, but, I will find the exception to the rule.’

Motivational video

Focus on developing your mind as it acts as your subconscious being.

It is your ‘inner voice’, and the stronger and resilient it is, the more confident you will feel and become.

Developing your inner confidence

Activity:1. Write down at least 3 positive things that someone has said about you ever.

2. Write down at least 3 things that you have accomplished in your life to-date.

Your Memory Bank!

It’s about how you see yourself

Putting it into practice

I do not need your recognition

I do not require or need your acceptance

I do not require your approval

I do not fear you

I have a voice, that must be heard

I am powerful, I am connected, I will be a success

I do not care what you think of me, sadly for you, you do not play a significant role in my life to warrant my sweat

Repeat these sentences to yourself when necessary to deny negative people, nay sayers or pessimists from overpowering your mind or feelings.
