Comparing and Contrasting 2 Religions

Task

Write an expository essay to compare and contrast 2 religions, focusing on specific aspect(s) of the religions. Your essay should be at least 2 pages long (14-font, double-spaced). Page length does not include the bibliography.

Process

1. Pick 3 different religions that you might want to study more about. Write down

a list of facts that you know and questions that you have. (Use the attached sheet)

2. Choose 2 of these religions to use for your essay.

3. Create a Venn diagram to help you organise your ideas for these 2 religions.

4. Begin research (this should be book based) – use books, world book, parents/

friends, field trip information and lastly the Internet (if needed). Be sure to keep

a record of your sources on your wiki. You must show how you have organised and recorded your notes on your wiki.

5. Review Venn diagram and add/modify if needed.

6. Start 1st draft.

7. Revise/edit/proofread

8. 2nd copy

9. Revise/edit (teacher check)

10.Final Copy
