SIMS Khula has been evaluated using the Final Codes of Good Practice on BBBEE for exempted Micro Enterprises, and has achieved a BBBEE Recognition Level Three with a 110% procurement recognition - 56% Black Ownership and 10.1% Black Women Ownership.
The holding company of SIMS Khula, SIMS (Stimela Infrastructure Management Service), was established by Fezile Dantile and George van Rooyen, in 2001. SIMS was formed from an original company by the name of Transport Training and Facilitation Services - a company that has been involved with training and management services since 1997. SIMS is a BBBEE company with a 75% BBBEE shareholding. SIMS Khula was initially created to ensure that the organization support the government iniatiaves towards skills development and develop an upskilled staff contingent

SIMS Khula offers our clients a multi-skilled team and network who can train in eleven South African Languages. The dedicated SIMS management team focuses on delivery in detail and depth, while pursuing cost-saving and innovative solutions.

Our Directors
Hester Verwey- Executive Director and Business Development Manager Cape Town Hester has completed her Masters Degree in Organisational Leadership (MOL) with Regent University. She also holds a degree in Librarianship and Education and is a qualified and experienced ETD Practitioner. Hester specialises in Behaviour Change and Leadership Development Solutions in Organisations, and also has extensive experience in outreach programmes and community development. Hester is an esteemed management and leadership facilitator and assessor, has developed a variety of management and leadership courses and is a registered and accredited xpand leadership coach. Hester currently resides in Cape Town, where she is busy with the building of the SIMS Khula branch in the
Western Cape Province.
Fezile Dantile- Managing Director Fezile was previously General Manager - Human Resources Development for Legalwise SA and a senior manager in Metrorail, before he joined SIMS. Fezile has extensive experience in Skills Development, Training, Training Needs Analysis and Skills Audits. Fezile holds a. B-CommHons.-degree in Industrial Psychology and is a specialist in Labour Law and Leadership. Fezile is the Managing Member of SIMS. His involvement with SIMS Khula includes strategic management of the Gauteng office, business advice, client relationship management, mentorship and strategic marketing.

George van Rooyen- Director Business Development George holds an International Executive and a Senior Management Diploma and a certificate in Advanced Logistics Management. George facilitated leadership development for a variety of different rail-related businesses. Previously he was Manager: Customer Services for Metrorail, Gauteng-North and Customer Service Training and Strategic Development can still be seen as his specialist field. George is one of the founding members of the SIMS group and drives business development and client relations for all the divisions. His role is to explore and extend business opportunities with new clients.
