The Days of Yester-Year…
• The days of all those years long ago were filled with artistic expression and hard work in classes.
• From step teams to choirs, and then the school band beginning in the 4th grade, there was never a dull moment in the house. My twin brother and I were always doing something. We always had a love of woodwind instruments, as my first instrument was the flute, and my brother started out on the clarinet.
• In those days, communications wasn’t a truly interesting field of study to me, although my love for music and radio were always within me.
At This Point In Life…
• My love for music and radio did nothing but grow as I grew.
• In high school, I decided that my life’s calling involved something having to do with music, and although I did not want to major in music, I started to take a look into a career in radio.
• I decided to go down the radio path, after obtaining my undergraduate degree in mass communications from Susquehanna University (where I also left campus for a semester for an internship with Radio One (Washington, DC market-where I found that I wanted to become a program director instead of a producer), I decided to go to graduate school for a masters in media management.
Flash Forward…
• In 5-7 years, I hope to have reached my goal of being a program director, have a nice sum of money in the bank, and contacts in my phone.
• From there, I plan to go to law school in either New York or DC for a degree in entertainment law, which will lead me to an interesting career as an entertainment lawyer.
• After that career, I plan to retire and enjoy life with my family…
