It is a presentation about the Finnish Parliamnet. It was prepared after visiting the parliament in Helsinki.

4. Non-governmental institutionsThis is a presentation about the non - governmental organizations in EU. 

5. The faces of the European ParliamentThis is a presentation that cointains information about people who work in the European Parliament.

9. Podział administracyjny kraju i wynikające z niego zadaniaThis presentation is about the administrative division of Poland and the tasks of the local authorities.

COMPETITIONS1. What do you know about the European Union?

On the nineteenth of March a school competition "What do you know about the EU" took place. The students had to answer twenty questions connected with the knowledge of the European Union. It started at one o'clock in the classroom number 116.

Students could score 20 points. The best students were:1. Melanowicz Paulina - 19 points2. Leszczyk Kinga - 18 points3. Zabłocka Paulina - 17 points.

The winners got diplomas.

COMPETITIONS2. Demokratie – wir machen mit!

This was an art competition in which students had to draw pictures and posters connected with their associations with democracy. This competition was held on the twenty second of May. The techniques of drawing depended on the students. The students could use the Internet, newspapers and other sources for this competition.

1.Lesson about the European UnionThe lesson was conducted by mgr Wiktoria Wilk. The topic of the lesson was connected with the European Union. The lesson took place in the third class of the grammar school. The students prepared two presentations about the history of the European Union and the institutions.

2.Political and economic issues – a lesson devoted to English vocabulary

The lesson was conducted by mgr Magdalena Trzepizur. The aim of that lesson was to teach the students the vocabulary connected with politics and economy. The students did a lot of vocabulary exercises and took part in the discussion about political and economic issues.

3.Non- governmental Institutions - their role and tasks.

The lesson was conducted by mgr Wojciech Grzybowski. The students listened to the lecture about the main non-governmental institutions and their role. They also took part in a discussion about it.

4.The way to freedom – the history lesson by mgr Wojciech Grzybowski

During the lesson the students could learn very important facts about the way the democracy was formed in Poland. They could see the presentation which was placed on the Internet, on the official government site.

5.The tasks and role of the local authorities – a vocabulary lesson.

This lesson was conducted by mgr Anna Kasprzak. The students have done a lot of exercises connected with the education, the health care, the employment and transport.

TRIPS - A visit to the Town Council in Kłobuck

1. A visit to the Town Council in Kłobuck

On the thirtieth of April 2013 a group of students from Zespół Szkół Nr 1 with the teachers went to the town Council in Kłobuck. They learnt about the way of working and tasks of this institution. The students also had the chance to meet with the mayor of Kłobuck Mr Krzysztof Nowak and his deputy Mr Marian Szyiński. The students heard about the location of our commune (it is located in the northern part of the Silesia), the population ( about thirteen thousand people) and its role (economic and administrative center).Besides, the students were also informed about the investments, achievements and departments of the Town Council. They also could visit the plenary hall and learnt about the role of the mayor, the topics of the plenary sessions and visit the registry office.

1. An interview with the representative of Scouts Association

Our students conducted a short interview with the representative of Scouts Association.They asked a lot of questions about the role of this institution, the tasks, history and problems.

2. A meeting with Jan Olbrycht

Our school invited a famous Polish politician and member of the European Parliament for the Silesian Voivodeship with the Civic Platform, part of the European People's Party and vice-chair of the European Parliament's Committee on Regional Development Jan Olbrycht. The students who took part in the meeting could learn about how the European Parliament works, the typical working day of the member of the EU and asked him questions.

3. Cooperation with “WIENIAWA” During the project our school cooperated with an educational association called “Wieniawa”. Our students took part in Jan Długosz Days, which were organized in Spetember. They participated in the lectures, meetings with the lectures of Jagiellonian Univeristy and competitions.
