CODATA publishes an open access electronic Journal from QUB

The contract was to expire at the end of 2005.CODATA called for proposals to manage the Journal.

The Japan N.C. made a proposal, and was approved.

Publish the Journal from J-STAGE

Merits:1. Links to PubMed, ChemPort, CrossRef -> strong incentive2. Google full text search -> high visibility3. Free from server maintenance -> light duty4. Online submission/review system -> quick publication5. Free of charge -> low cost

Immediate target,Double number of papers at a half cost,seems feasible
