Advising Appointment Vs. Walk-in Appointments
Advising Appointments• 30 minute advising sessions
• Schedule Appt. on Student Success Collaborative (in Single Sign On) with your pre-major advisor
• Good Topics to discuss: Class Schedules, Degree Progress and Planning, Withdrawing from classes, filing petitions, Academic Challenges, Summer School, Taking Classes at a Community College. Referrals for additional resources.
• It’s recommended you meet with your advisor at least once a semester.
Walk-in Appointments• 5-10 minute advising session
• No appointment necessary. Sign in at the SAS Center (HSCI-164) during the designated hours. Students are seen on first come, first service.
• Good topics to discuss: Signatures or assistance with completing petitions, how to sign up for CPT or GWAR, Reviewing classes in your shopping cart or degree planner, referrals to other centers on campus
• The more specific your questions, the better we can assist.
