TREND TODAY IN THE IT INDUSTRIES

Cloud.?

Cloud computing is a model for enabling convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of

configurable computing resources that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management

effort.

Cloud

How its evolved?

Traditional IT cloud

Industries in 2014 (Cloud)

Investments & Growth

Cloud Characteristics

• On-demand self-service

• Broad network access

• Resource pooling

• Rapid elasticity

• Measured Service

Basic Services

Infrastructure as a ServiceDelivery of technology infrastructures like VM’s*, Storage, Network, etc., as on demand.

Providers:AWS, Rackspace Cloud, Meghdoot, Azure etc.,

Benefits:• Multitenant Virtualized Environment•Reduce Capital and Maintenance cost•Pay as you go

Platform as a Service

Provides all facilities required to support the complete life cycle of building and delivering web applications

Providers: Salesforce.com, Google App Engine, Azure

Benefits:• Highly Scalable multitenant architecture• Easy Management

Software as a Service

Providing licensed multi-tenant access to software and its functions remotely as Web-based service

Applications:Google docs, Gmail, Facebook, Adobe etc.,

Benefits: Reduce license cost and installation time

Pay as you go

Benefits:• “Pay as you go“ model• Low cost• Easy Management• Fully automated• Backup & Restoration• Improve accessibility (Work from anywhere)• Faster deployment• High Availabilty• Disaster Recovery• Energy Efficiency

Deployment Models

Private CloudInside the organizations you are going to access and

shareyour Services. Hardware which will resides under theprimary datacenter or at your local place.

Public cloud

Cloud Infrastructure is open for general public use. All resource are shared to all users with in the cloud. Resources will resides with third party or Cloud providers.

Hybrid Cloud

The Cloud infrastructure is a composition of two or more distinct cloud infrastructures ( private or public) that remain unique entity

Community Cloud

Infrastructure is provisioned for exclusive use by a specificcommunity of consumers from organization that have shared concerns . It may be owned by one or more community or third party.
