PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Dear Members and Friends of ASCE,
(badadada dadadadada) It’s the Final
Countdown!!!
If you haven’t signed up to play or to be a
sponsor, time is running out. If you were
interested in having a sign placed, the reg-
istration would have been needed filled
out and turned in by 5/16/2016. Other-
wise, any registration done afterwards is
still appreciated and welcome though will
likely not provide enough time to have signs provided. All planning
aside, the event would be nothing without the comradery and fun en-
joyed from everyone being in attendance.
For next week, we will be hosting our Engineering Encounters Bridge Design Contest. If you have time and would like to assist, please contact one of the branch officers or visit the contest page on our website.
For our monthly meeting on May 19th, please make the time to join us
and support our fellow members for the presentation of this year’s an-
nual awards recipients.
As you may have read in a recent email, we are again putting together
the biennially scheduled training. For this year and the new require-
ments, the Ethics, Law and Rules session will be provided locally. Mul-
tiple providers are being contacted to evaluate what they can bring to us
as well as the cost associated. After evaluation of the best benefit for our
branch, additional information will be provided. Also don’t forget the
opportunities being provided by the Florida Section in their hosted
events.
