CityVibe is an annual publication that showcases the many spectacular City-sponsored and community-based arts and cultural outdoor events and summer festivals that are taking place in the Capital City.
Whether you’re discovering a new culture, relaxing or dancing to a range of music genres, or enjoying the many festivities offered downtown, there is something for everyone!
The festivals and celebrations showcased in the first section of this guide are recipients of the City of Victoria’s 2013 Festival Investment Grant. Over the past 14 years, the City has awarded $1.5 million to local non-profit arts and cultural organizations. The program is designed to nurture outdoor festivals and celebrations held within the Capital City, facilitate their growth and ensure their continued success.
Victoria’s public markets and City-sponsored summer concerts and events presented at the Cameron Bandshell in Beacon Hill Park and at Centennial Square are also listed.
New this year are listings for the festivals and sporting events taking place at Royal Athletic Park, Victoria’s outdoor sports stadium.
All of the event listings are available in the free CityVibe iTunes app. Go to iTunes.com to download.

Message from Mayor Dean Fortin
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to CityVibe, Victoria’s Guide to Festivals and Outdoor Events.
Both as the host city and as a community partner, the City of Victoria is proud and excited to support the many festivals and celebrations that will take place this summer.
Summer is a special time in BC’s Capital City – with so much to do and see, the CityVibe guide will prove to be a great resource. I encourage you to take part in as many of the events happening around
town as possible. It is a great way to build community spirit and enjoy summer in the city.
Victoria has a wonderful array of well-established annual festivals, as well as many new unique events that highlight our local talent and creative spirit. Not to mention ongoing markets right across the city, boasting both local food and artisans.
So whether you are in Centennial Square, Fisherman’s Wharf, on Government Street or at the Cameron Bandshell in Beacon Hill Park this summer, there will be music in the air and people in the streets enjoying all that our wonderful city has to offer.
Best wishes for a fun-filled and memorable summer.
