Christmas is a Feeling

It doesn’t matter what your religion is. It doesn’t matter what you believe or don’t believe.  Christmas is a feeling.

Feelings lie deeper than thoughts, belief systems, or philosophies. Christmas is a feeling.

Miracles or not, the message is what matters.

Christmas is a feeling.

Alone or with friends or family, it matters not. Feelings dwell inside, not out. Christmas is a feeling.

Enjoy things that bring about fine feelings. They culture the heart. A favorite holiday song, a tree, favorite ornament, or annual movie like “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Such feelings heal the planet. Christmas is a feeling.

Some say Christmas is an event. Others say it never happened. Either way, the feelings it elicits are real. Closest to the soul are feelings. Christmas is a feeling.

Innocence is the gateway to the heart. Innocence means feelings untainted. That’s what it means to be like a child while still an adult. Not naïve, but innocent. Christmas is a feeling.

By taking time to sit, ponder, and reflect, we rest into our deeper feelings. By being with those feelings, we radiate them to others. Healing is rooted in feeling. Christmas is a feeling.

Christmas melancholy comes from looking to the surface circumstances, expectations.

Regardless of the circumstances, come from the depth. Christmas is a feeling.

Be with a feeling and the behavior naturally follows. Peace on earth, goodwill toward all. It is said many ways. Peace and love, hands across the water, the message is always the same. Christmas is a feeling.

May we set aside our differences, come together as one,

and rejoice in the feeling that is Christmas.
