St. PAUL
himself in a race or in a journey
His goal was to attain perfect maturity
– to be like Christ
and to be in Christ
perfection of a relationship with God
developing an intimate and personal
relationship with Jesus.
Pilgrimage
a journey or search
of moral or spiritual significance.
it’s not about who finishes first, but it’s about
the experience, the fulfilment and the
satisfaction of reaching the sacred destination.
Let’s close our eyes and reflect.
Reflection 1Where are you in this journey?
Just started.
Hard starting.
Too distracted.
Stationary.
Tired/exhausted.
Tired/exhausted.
“Been there, done that”.
Lost.
Going around in circles.
Committed.
Good News: We are all works-in-progress
PURSUIT:
Where are you in this journey?
“actively chasing” or “continuously following”
running desperately and helplessly towards Him.
We serve not just FOR Him but WITH Him
Good News: We are all works-in-progress
Christ’s pursuit of us
Our pursuit of a life in union with Christ

II. Christ’s Pursuit of UsIII. Our Pursuit of Oneness with
Christ - The Ideal Pursuit
IV. Responding to the Invitation
V. Reflection and Sharing
“… since I have indeed been taken
possession of by Christ.”
Christ’s Pursuit of UsHe pursued us FIRST.
He pursues us because He loves us.
He pursues us to belong to Him.
And the “WHYEVER” is because great is His love
for us, for us to belong to Him completely.
He pursues us WHENEVER.
He pursues us WHEREVER.
He pursues us HOWEVER.
He pursues us WHOEVER we are.
“…neither death, nor life, nor
angels, nor principalities, nor things
present, nor things to come, nor
powers, nor height, nor depth, nor
any other created thing, will be able
to separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Reflection 2Listen to Him?
Visualize that God placed them in this
world to start the journey as a small
child.
Let’s close our eyes and reflect.
Where is Christ in our journey?
God is the reason why we are in the journey.
God sees to it that we stay in the journey because
we are intended for Him.
God is the goal of our journey.
Christ is the start, the way and the goal all in one.
We are one in Christ.
Complete dependence in Jesus.
Without Me you can do nothing (John 15:5)
Apart from Him we have no real life of any kind.
Since God desires us so much, He will chase us,
seize us, until we are back in the journey

V. Reflection and Sharing
“…but I continue my pursuit in the hope
that I may possess it…”
The pursuit of oneness with Christ
20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no
longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I
now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of
God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
- Galatians 2:20
To be like Christ we must know Him more and grow
in an intimate relationship with Him.
How close are you with Jesus?
How intimate is your relationship with Jesus?
In our pursuit we will keep on moving forward,
PRAY FORWAD.
1. Focused.
What will make us
successful in our pursuit?
2. Enduring.3. Continuous.

RESPONSE
Responding to the Invitation
Christ is all-out in His pursuit for you.
He is pursuing you now – right at this very moment
If your answer is YES, the pursuit begins!!!
Are you ready to take seriously this pursuit of
knowing Christ more and growing in an intimate
relationship with Him?

Reflection 3Listen to Him?
1. God is in pursuit of me.
How does this make me feel?
2. How will I respond to His
invitation?
3. What are my fears, if any, of
being pursued by the Lord?
The WAY you PRAY. The WAY you LIVE.
