As of 2005 in Connecticut, one of every four high school students were either overweight or obese, according to the Connecticut

Commission on Children.

In Connecticut, according to 2007 statistics, 25.7 percent of children aged 10-17 were overweight of obese, according to the National

Conference of State Legislature.
