and founded the Ming Dynasty

2. Did away with high-level officials and took over more control of the gov’t

5. The arrival of European traders and Christian missionaries led Ming emperors to decide to isolate China

The Qing Dynasty1. Ruled China from 1644-1911

2. Was the last dynasty in 3,500 years of imperial rule in China

5. Expanded the empire by conquering Taiwan, Mongolia, and Tibet
