Children’s Fashion Europe (CFE)is a new generation associationof European supranational scope formed by European Children’s Wear and Childcare manufacturers, National Associations and Technological Institutes within the EU.
With a clear market orientation, CFE is aimed at improving the competitive position of its members offering complementary services to thoseof national and regional associations and consortiums.

1. To organize commercial activities mainly outside the EU in order to promote and improve the prestige and notoriety of European Children’s Fashion and Childcare, particularlyin those markets considered priorities by our associated companiesin their internationalization process.

As a matter of fact, Children’s Fashion Europe is now taking part in two European projects funded by the European Commission:
The association’s main objectives are
Leader of the project “Brand & Merchandising Manager for SMEs of the children’s product sector”, under the Leonardo da Vinci program, Multilateral Projects for the developmentof innovation.
Partner of Design4Children Design criteria for healthier and safer child products underthe 7th Framework Program for Research and Technological Development (FP7)for the benefit of SME’s.

Liaison status in CEN/TC 252 “Child use and care articles”.
Liaison status in CEN/TC 248 “Textiles and textile products”.
Members of UEAPME, the European craft and SME employers’ organization.

Children’s Fashion Europe today is formed by more than 40 brands coming from Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, 4 national associations, 3 technological institutes and an International Exhibition Institution.
Also, CFE collaborates with many European Institutes, Organizations and International Trade Fairs such as: ANIVEC in Portugal, ASEPRI in Spain, CNA Federmoda in Italy,Nova CHILD in France, the technological institutes AIJU, AITEX and IBV and FERIA VALENCIA.

AITEX was set up in 1985 as an initiative of the Valencian Regional Government, through the Valencian Institute for Small and Medium Industry (IMPIVA).It is currently the leading centrefor research, innovation and advanced technical services available to the textile, manufacturing and technical textile sectors.
AITEX is a private non-profit association that encompasses textile and textile-related companies. Its ultimate aim isto make this sector more competitive.To achieve this, the Institute promotes modernisation and the introductionof new and emerging technologiesby developing R&D projects and,in general, any initiatives that will contribute to the industrial progressof the sector.

IBV is a technological centrethat studies the behaviour
of the human body and its interaction with products, environments
and services. Founded in 1976,the Institute is currently coordinated
under the agreement ofthe Valencian Institute for Small
and Medium Industry (IMPIVA) and the Universidad Politécnica
de Valencia (UPV).
With the aim to improve competitiveness among the business
sector, IBV promotes people’s well-being through the combination
of knowledge in areas suchas biomechanics, ergonomics
and emotional engineering,and its application to diverse sectors.
