Certi-Fresh Foods, Inc. is a family owned and operated seafood supplier
specialized in domestic production and global importing boasting over
100 years of collective experience in domestic and worldwide sourcing
including South East Asia, India, Mexico, and South America. While our
focus is on value added shrimp, calamari, salmon, and Chilean sea

We are a processor and importer of frozen shrimp, fish, squid and
breaded products. Certi-Fresh is extremely flexible with quick turn
around time for orders and exceptional year around (order) fill
rates. Our Corporate Office and Production facility is based in
Wilmington, California while our primary Shipping Point is a top tier
Vernon, CA based Cold Storage Facility with Certi-Fresh staff present at
all times to ensure timely and accurate shipping & receiving.
Food SafetyCerti-Fresh Foods, along with its supplier/partners is a HACCP approved and
controlled processing facility using strictly enforced GMP’s (Good Manufacturing
Practices). ON site during all productions, you will find our Quality Assurance Director
and Quality Control Team. The Certi-Fresh Foods Processing Facility undergoes an
annual Food Safety Audit and Inspection administered by NSF Cook & Thurber and
routinely produces scores between 95% and 100%...
Our overseas suppliers carry certifications from the most recognized food safety
organizations in the world. This includes, but is not limited to the British Retailorganizations in the world. This includes, but is not limited to the British Retail
Consortium (BRC), Safe Quality Foods (SQF), International Organization for
Standardization (ISO) as well as following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
As a final quality check, Certi-Fresh administers a full defrost and quality analysis on
every lot of incoming and in house processed item. This inspection is controlled by
our on-site QA department and control samples are retained from each lot for a short
period of time. Not to mention our Full time Quality Assurance and Quality Control
Director on-site.

Farm raised primarily in Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and India; white
shrimp in medium to small sizes have become a mainstay on many an
American Menu. Often grayish-blue or tan in shell color…shrimp farmers love
to raise this strong and voracious shrimp species due to its quick growth. The
meat is white with mild flavor. While the meat texture usually less firm than

Black Tiger ShrimpPenaeus Monodon
Farm Raised primarily in Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and India; Black Tigers are one of the
most popular varieties of shrimp on the Asian, European, and American markets. There is a
large range of shell colors including grey and blue with dark black stripes. Sizes as large as 4/6
through 51/60 shrimp per pound. Its flavor is mild and slightly softer in texture than most
species due in part to a higher moisture content than other species of shrimp. When cooked,
tiger shrimp meat turns white and the black stripes on the shell turn bright red to orange.

Mexican ShrimpWild White, Blue and Brown shrimp is native to the west coast, from Mexico to northern Peru.
Wild Headless Shell On sizes range primarily from U/10 through 21/25 counts with small volumes
on 26/30 and higher counts. Meat is white sweet flavor and firm texture; some say it’s the best
shrimp available.

Origin
Directly off of our California coast swim a huge diversity of sea life. Certi-Fresh works hand
in hand with Western Fish Company to procure its premium grade raw materials. Western
Fish is a Southern California based fishing and processing operation which owns two purse
seining fishing vessels that predominately harvest squid. We have put together a vertically
integrated cleaned calamari program which gives us complete control of spec and quality
from harvest to frozen finished product…complete control from ocean to kitchen.
Processing from both fresh caught and frozen product, we are able to offer a cleanedProcessing from both fresh caught and frozen product, we are able to offer a cleaned
calamari that will out-perform the imported product day after day. Although our local Loligo
doesn’t grow quite as large as some of its cousins, the taste and texture will prevail.
Availability
This is a seasonal item with the main harvest season in the in late summer and early winter.
Program business is not a problem, but high volume operators are urged to commit to 1 year
volume during the season to ensure year round supply and competitive pricing.

Certi-Fresh Norwegian Salmon is pen raised in the pristine free-flowing Fjords’ that line
Norway’s coastlines. Our farmers pride themselves on “happy fish” meaning that the
salmon are raised in low density pens that are never treated with antibiotics. This leaves
the fish plenty of room to swim freely and keeps them free of unnatural contaminants in
the water. Only the highest quality and freshest raw materials are forwarded to the
processing facilities to supply our quality frozen programs.
Availability
This salmon is raised and harvested all year long. Norway’s salmon programs are on the
cutting edge of finfish aquaculture and have been for over 20 years. A salmon takes 3-5
years to grow from egg to harvest size and the process is closely watched in every stage.
Recommendations are to sell volume commitments at 12 months price protection
programs or with 6 month pricing revision options, but any opportunity will be explored.
