The Oak Hammock Marsh Carving Guild offers three

day working duck decoy carving workshops at the OHM

Interpretive Centre. Workshops are ideal for novice and

experienced carvers. For fee structure and to register

contact Cathy Wasserman at the interpretive centre at

Carve and paint a cork working duck decoy –all consecu-

tive Sundays. Instructor Harry Williams, Ross Gage and

John Frye.

patterns and instructions. It is an excellent resource for

novice and experienced carvers and makes for a wonder-

ful gift.

Carving & Painting Workshops Prairie Canada hosts full day weekend (from 9:30am to

4:30pm) carving workshops at the Elmwood-East Kil-

donan Active Living Center at 180 Polar Avenue in Win-

nipeg. Workshops are generally offered in November,

March, April and May.

Proceeds from the workshop (excluding material costs

and feature guest instructor fees) go towards running the

annual carving competition. To register contact Tom

McCormack at 253-0885 or tpmccormack@shaw.ca

Workshop details are posted on the PCCA website. Reg-

istration is first come first served; class size is limited.

Sets of power carving equipment can be made available

to novice carvers. Dust collectors are available for all

power carving classes. PCCA also offers workshops at

club venues.
