Was apprenticed to the pianist in childhood

From 1975-1980 studied in Harvard

Worked in a Biology lab and played in a band for fun

In the 80-s-his acquaintance with the Coen Brothers

His debut film score “Blood Simple”- is neither conventionally suspenseful nor grotesquely humorous

The 90-s-the peak in his career:

Much of the composer’s contribution is extremely subtle.

Music is particularly needed to convey the true feelings of the protagonist

The score adds subtlety and contributes to the credibility of the events. It is not heavy-handed and conveys truly complex emotions through pummelling drums and squealing electric guitars.
