Shorten your shower
• The average shower lasts about 8 minutes.
• If you cut your shower by 2 minutes, you could cut 340 lbs of CO2 emissions each year.
Change your light bulbs
• Chang your light bulbs from incandescent to a Fluorescents.
• Changing bulbs could cut about 50 lbs of carbon emissions each year.
• CFL’s last much longer than incandescent.
Eat Less Red Meat
• If you get 30% of your calories from meat, dairy, and poultry, your diet contributes 3,000lbs of CO2 to the atmosphere each year.
• You don’t have to stop eating meat, but if you reduce your consumption of red meat, you’ll reduce you’re annual carbon footprint.
Recycle
• If the average household recycled all it’s paper, plastic, and glass, they would cut 1,000 lbs of CO2 emissions each year.
