Dear Ms. Link:

On May 21, 2015 during routine biweekly water sampling of Cameco Resources, Crow ButteOperation (CBO) shallow monitor well SM8-28 the single parameter upper control limit (SCL)for conductivity was exceeded. As required by Section B.lI of Part II of UIC Permit NE012261 1,a second sample was collected within 24 hours and analyzed for the three excursion indicatorparameters. The results of the second sample also exceeded the SCL for conductivity.

In accordance with Section B. 1 Part 11 of the UIC permit, CBO increased the sampling frequencyfor SM8-28 to weekly. Weekly samples were obtained from May 21, 2015, to August 3, 2015.The samples collected on July 20, 27, and August 3, 2015, were below the excursion crieifrom Section B. 1 of the permit. Based on these results, CBO removed SM8-28 from excursionstatus. In accordance with the requirements of Section B.I1, weekly sampling continued for anadditional three weeks. During the stability monitoring period, the excursion parameters werenot exceeded and SM8-28 was returned to biweekly sampling status. Attached are copies of theanalytical data for each of the three weekly stability monitoring samples and graphs for eachparameter covering the period of May 21, 2015 through October 8, 2015.
