Super Typhoon Mangkhut, known as Ompong in the Philippines, is currently equivalent to aCategory 5 hurricane, with winds of at least 252 kilometres per hour. The typhoon isexpected to hit northern parts of the Philippines over the 15th of September. Extensiveflooding and damage is expected.The present map shows the damage grade assessment in the area of Calayan (Philippines).The thematic layer has been derived from post-event satellite image by means of visualinterpretation. The estimated geometric accuracy is 5 m CE90 or better, from nativepositional accuracy of the background satellite image.
